Title: Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor of Teacher Education for Diverse Learners
The Department of Education invites applications for an immediate opening for a visiting assistant/associate professor position in teacher education at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin in the 2020 academic year. This is a one-year position with opportunity for renewal.
Required Qualifications include a) an earned doctorate or ABD in education with a depth of study and research in teacher education, multicultural education, and/or inclusive education or a related field b) capacity for instruction in one of more specific content areas of teacher education e.g. science, mathematics, social studies, literacy or English language arts c) demonstrated potential for research and scholarship d) experience teaching children or adolescents and e) experience with edTPA

Responsibilities: A successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses depending on their specialization. Other professional responsibilities include supervision of related field experiences, guiding students in edTPA preparation, Master level courses, research, scholarly activities, service, and student advising.
