Job Description

Major Responsibilities

  • Supports the sales growth of Azerty’s high profile, high volume retail accounts by promoting all available marketing programs for Azerty/United.
  • Maintains a positive customer relationship to ensure continued business and profitability.
  • Educates customers on retail product features and selling techniques; creates new business opportunities and expands current product mix.
  • Analyzes sales market to define growth opportunities; assists product management with new product/vendor opportunities.
  • Provides incoming call support and order entry for sales.
  • Analyzes trends including customer consolidation, changes in technology and product; evaluates competitor strengths/weaknesses to gain market share.
  • Develops sales forecasts by customer segment.  Establishes pricing strategies to generate sales and margin improvement.
  • Creates and delivers presentations to retailers by phone and occasionally in person.
  • Understands and demonstrates United Stationers' Core Values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present to and conduct meetings with mid- and senior-level customer management.
  • Knowledge of effective sales techniques.
  • Ability to explain technical information in an easy-to-understand, non-technical manner.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to perform P&L analysis for existing and potential business.
  • Solid product knowledge and the ability to distill and exploit competitive intelligence.
  • MS Office proficiency (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 

 

Education and Experience

Value Added Reseller (VAR) Key Account Representative

  • Responsible for growing/selling across all product categories within your territory for Essendant Printing & Imaging
  • Profiling each account to become the expert within the organization for the makeup of his/her account base and the key attributes of each account.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with Key Account Base.
  • Understand each assigned key account customer’s business function, organizational structure, competitive advantage while building relationships with the key decision makers.
  • Develop revenue enhancement opportunities for customers, thus becoming a valued asset for customers.
  • Promote the Essendant Printing & Imaging value proposition to your key customers.
  • Becomes the internal advocate for his/her account base and leverages company marketing materials, educational engines and other tools to maximize account ROI.
